Bell launches Virtual Network Services for Enterprises.

Bell Canada has launched its Virtual Network Services (VNS) platform, offering enterprise customers nationwide a range of on-demand network functions that reside securely in the telco's private cloud, reports ConvergeDigest.com. Bell also announced it will be the first Canadian operator to offer a managed software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) solution powered by Cisco Viptela, the first Virtual Network Function provided via the VNS platform. Bell's website highlights that companies can integrate their WAN with multiple network connections 'such as IP VPN, internet and LTE to enable a dynamic, hybrid-networking approach'.

Tom Little, President of Bell Business Markets, said: 'Bell VNS is a revolutionary way for business customers to adapt their networks quickly and efficiently while reducing their hardware expenses. The Bell VNS service experience offers a new level of control, flexibility and automation through software-driven networks.' Bell's VNS service level agreements come with a minimum 99.9% uptime guarantee.
